On April 20th, I received a package in the mail and I have to give Milk some kudos for their marketing strategy. Milk Makeup and Influenster sent me a 100% vegan mascara with cannabis oil in the formula. I like to try new things when it comes to beauty and skincare, but when I read that there was cannabis oil in the new Kush Mascara, I had to do some googling to make sure we were all talking about the same cannabis!

Most mascaras have beeswax in the formula to get those lashes the lift and volume we are looking for. However, since Milk Makeup is a vegan brand, they had to get creative to find a new formula with less harm to the bees. Right away just taking the wand out of the tube, I noticed a difference. Like a “wow, this is amazing” difference.

The mascara formula has CBD-rich cannabis oil in it giving it a creamy, thick consistency. Similar to the Better Than Sex mascara if you used it before, but the formula is creamier making it easier to apply and making each lash pop.

I also loved the mascara itself because it was made out of recycled aluminum giving making it heavy, but for some reason and this may just be me, but it feels more luxurious that it is not made out of plastic. The mascara is also really big itself, which I love because for me it makes it easier to apply. I like the large round want because I have better control while applying the mascara.  The mascara bristles are also crisscross so each lash gets a coat of mascara when you apply it.

I too was skeptical when I received this product and would not have been the first to grab it at Sephora. However, after trying this mascara, it has been my go to for weeks. It is also only $24 making it an affordable, luxury mascara that does all the things it claims to do!

Take a hit of Kush Mascara, I promise you won’t regret it!
