Top Ten Favorite Products in July

I have sat down a few times to write this post but then I get distracted or start snacking and Instagram pulls me in. Now it is mid-August and Fall is almost here making Summer basically over and I am not okay with how fast this summer is flying by! I have so many things I want to do this summer and more importantly, so many more outfits to wear!

July is the first month that I started to see some real progress with my blog and Instagram page. Since moving to Philly a few months ago, I have really put my heart and all of my energy into the blog. With more consistent content on the blog, more sponsored posts and getting better at taking photos – it is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes! Even though a lot of planning and work goes into blog posts and photos, I love every single moment of it! I could do this for free or without the free products I get sent because I love sharing little parts of my life on the blog and sharing fun outfits and products with you all. However, what is nice is that I do get some compensation for putting all of this effort into the blog. I get a small payment through affiliate links that track how many times they are clicked and if purchases are made using the links on my blog. Every time you click a link, I get a small (very small!) compensation and if you make a purchase with one of my links, I get a small (a tad bit more than a click) compensation. Obviously, where I am now in the blog is not enough to pay my rent or even my electric bill for the month but it is nice to see my profit add up over time.

I have always loved to share outfits and dress my friends in clothes they already have in their closet. I cannot tell you how many times in college I would be asked to pick out outfits for my girlfriends to wear and I still get the texts! That is one of the reasons I love sharing my outfits on Instagram because I am always sharing my outfits of the day and how I wear the same piece in different ways.

Below are the top 10 items that you all were interested in July on the blog. I love to see what products you guys click to see more information on so I can post more about them on the blog. It helps me plan content and encourages me to make a few more purchases for the blog 😉

I have dozens and dozens of bathing suits in my drawer and every time I go the pool in my building, I have been grabbing the same one-piece bathing suit each time! This striped bathing suit specifically caught my eye immediately because of the fun colors in it. I had it in my shopping cart for weeks trying to convince myself that yes, I needed another bathing suit even though I can barely close my bathing suit drawer as it is. When it went on sale during a Cartwheel promotion I knew I needed to buy it!

Now that I am in my mid-twenties and especially living in a city apartment building, I feel like I can’t get away with lounging by the pool in the tiny bathing suits I wear to the beach. I like that this one has a fun cutout in the front and I can keep eating chips and salsa and not have to worry about my food baby showing (ha!).

Every single time I have gone to the beach or pool this summer, I can’t help but wear this bathing suit! Target has so many amazing bathing suits this summer and the price point is perfect for any budget! A few of the bathing suit styles have started to go to clearance too! As a girl who has not worn a one-piece bathing suit since I was eleven years old, I can’t help but want to buy more one-piece bathing suits! I blame Target and their cute bathing suits this year.

I am also faking my tan this summer with Coola sunless tanning mousse because it starts to turn my skin a natural looking tan within hours. I did a little photoshoot for Coola a few weeks ago and was so tan when I went down to the pool a few hours later. Now that I see my pale skin in these photos from over the weekend, I will be re-applying as soon as I can tonight! This upcoming weekend, I am visiting a childhood friend in my hometown for a beach day and I need a little glow before I step foot onto the beach! That is why I love Coola because it is natural looking and I tan quickly.

Hello, August + Instagram Round-Up

I feel like the 4th of July was forever ago, but then the rest of the month just flew by! This month, I spent my weekends driving back home to Jersey to pack up the house before the move and then finding room in my apartment for all of the things I brought back with me. My family and I filled two big moving trucks with belongings and filled dozens of garbage bags full of things we just couldn’t keep. As much as I dreaded driving back to Jersey on the weekends to clean and pack, I tried to enjoy each time being home as much as I could. July was a busy month for me with every hour planned out for something to do or somewhere to be. Hopefully this month I can actually be lazy on weekends and enjoy some of the amenities of my building, I have a pool and I have only been in it once! Tomorrow Will Be Better

At work, my desk has turned into Rosie’s therapy corner where the interns like to come to my desk, vent about their day and I send them back to their desk with some words of wisdom. It is not my job or anyone else’s to discredit anyone’s feelings or say they should just feel better because I said so. We are all allowed to feel discouraged, but I tell everyone that tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow is a chance to start again. And every single time, the next day is always better.  Continue reading “Tomorrow Will Be Better”

girly chic bathroom

shower curtain // bath mat // soap dispenser // garbage can

Finally sharing some pictures of my apartment bathroom! I wanted to keep the same girly chic theme and knew that pink would go well with the brown sink and mirror. Unfortunately, my bathroom has the worst lighting in the entire world!! It is this yellow tone and very dark no matter what I do to try and fix it. When I moved into the apartment,  I didn’t have much decor for my bathroom besides the white floor mat. Luckily, Target made it very easy to buy my bathroom essentials and decor because they had everything. Apartment bathrooms can be small with very little personality with outdated fixtures, but with the right decor you can make this space special!

I keep all of my products in my linen closet attached to my bathroom or in my vanity. I try to keep as little as possible in my bathroom or else it starts to look messy.  It makes getting ready in the morning super easy because everything is always where it needs to be and makes cleaning up go by quickly. I added as much white as I could to brighten up the room and touches of pink to add some personality. I love the way this room turned out!
