When I sat down to write this post, the first thing I did was to look at the analytics of my blog. Basically, I get a very very small commission for every link you click and every purchase made using my links. I use an affiliate program called ShopStyle that helps me share my outfit details, a great sale and in return, I can make some money that I then put back into the blog.
Honestly, this month flew by for me and I wasn’t able to dedicate as much time as I wanted to on the blog as I had hoped for. Each blog post takes hours of planning, writing and then taking pictures for – and this month I just didn’t have the time! Just something I need to plan better for next month. For the new readers here, I try and post about my life experiences on Mondays, an outfit on Wednesdays, my weekly favorite things on Fridays and a new beauty product review on Sunday. This way, there is always a reason to come back to the blog! I have been blogging since 2014, so there is always a ton of content on the blog!
Okay, so let’s get to the top ten favorite items that you readers clicked on or purchased. What is great about ShopStyle, is that I can easily see what my readers are clicking on and purchasing. This data helps me know what you guys want to see more. This is partly because I didn’t do much spending or posting on the blog, but a lot of my top favorites this month are items I purchased months ago. Even though I purchased shoes earlier in the summer, I still wear them a lot for work so they show up in a lot of my pictures. I did a full blog post on them because they are still in stock and here to stay for a while.
I don’t usually follow the rule that if you like something, you should buy it in every color, but I definitely did when it comes to these shoes! I purchased the taller block heels in black and nude earlier in the summer and just purchased the shorter heel version. I try not to wear heels because they can get uncomfortable, however, these are sooo comfortable that I can wear them all day and night.
I saw on Instagram that these shoes that I had my eyes on a while ago went on major sale and within minutes I hit add to cart and checked out! I was so excited when these showed up on my doorstep a few days later because they are the perfect work shoe! I have been obsessed with mules because they are so easy to throw on for work, and this pink color is just too cute!
Target Striped One Piece Bathing Suit
I know a bathing suit is good when I ignore all of the other dozen bathing suits in my drawer. This has been my go to all summer and I have zero complaints. It makes my tan (ha!) pop and I love the bright color design. Clearly, you guys still like it because you guys are still clicking on it! Target should be doing a big sale on swimwear so I will be sure to share when this one goes to clearance.
I am so happy to see that these booties are back in stock! I purchased mine last year and are definitely going to be my go-to shoe for fall again this year. What is nice is that I can wear them to my corporate job with dresses and pants as well as on the weekends. These were part of the Nordstrom Sale last summer and I found them for a better price at this retailer + free shipping!
I am on a bit of a budget, so I found buying a soap dispenser and a gallon bottle of hand soap was a lot more cost effective than buying new individual bottles. The pink soap dispenser also looks so much cuter in my bathroom too!
I actually hate the floor in my bathroom, so I found the easiest thing a renter can do is to buy a cute bath mat to cover up the ugly floor tile! I wanted to find a bathmat that had my girly touch but wasn’t too pink and this one is a perfect balance. It is also super easy to wash and under $20!
I bought this skirt in June and I am still wearing it to work. It makes for an easy work outfit because I can wear it with a tank or just a simple white tee to work and the pink details dress up the outfit. The good news is that it went to clearance, the bad news is that they are sold out online, but I have seen a few left in stores! I plan on getting a few more skirts from this retailer for fall because they are cute and are the perfect length for work.
This cami just went to clearance and it is still fully stocked in all sizes! It is the perfect tank to wear with white jeans and can easily transition into fall and winter. I have been wearing camis with cardigans and denim shorts all summer long and plan to swap out my shorts for jeans for fall.
Olay Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser
I was happy to see this cleanser as one of the most popular items on the blog this month. I have personally used this one since college because I love how my skin feels after I use it with my exfoliating brush. I like to use it every day after the shower because even though I wash my face I like to do a super deep clean to make sure I get all of my makeup off before bed.
