I forced myself to sit down and write this blog post because I have been running around like crazy all week! Since most of my friends live in Philadelphia, I have been driving back and forth at least once a week to spend time with them. I love being able to see my friends so I don’t mind the hour and a half drive there. However, I usually have work early the next morning, so I end up having to function with just 4 hours of sleep and get through a full nine hour workday. I am exhausted! But the driving and lack of sleep is worth a day with my favorite people. I have very little free time, so I try to get as much done as possible in that time.
Decorating For Fall A must do activity once fall arrives! My bedroom is decorated for fall, just haven’t had the chance to decorate my front porch yet. I am hoping I can find the time to run out and pick up some mums this weekend.
Being a Tourist in Philadelphia My friend has been gracious enough to let me stay at her apartment when I visit Philadelphia. This past weekend when I came to visit, she was participating in a 5k early that morning. I chose to sleep and she ran (ha!), while she was running I went out to explore Philadelphia like a tourist. I went to college in Philadelphia, but never really got the chance to explore the city part of it. I walked around for 2 hours with a Starbucks in hand. I have been trying to decide where I want to get an apartment and start living my life. There was a bit of sparkle in Philadelphia when I was exploring that day. Now I just need to win the lottery so I can afford it. ha!
Pottery Barn x Harry Potter I was scrolling on Facebook earlier this week and came across a post by Pottery Barn announcing they had a Harry Potter collection. It has been years since these books and movies came out and I still get excited over Harry Potter. A must have is this Harry Potter mirror with a hidden jewelry compartment. This clock is too cute and has subtle Potter charm. This bedding may also have to come home with me because I would feel like I was living in a Hogwarts dorm.
Will and Grace It’s back! My friend had a little dinner party to watch the first episode of Will and Grace. It was a great excuse to get all of us together, we laughed, drank martinis and watched tv. I need to get a hold of a HULU account so I can binge watch the previous seasons.
Doing Fall Things Every year I make a fall bucket list and I am happy to say that I am checking them off one by one! When I drove out to Philadelphia over the weekend, I dragged the girls to go pumpkin picking at Linvilla. We walked through the apple orchard, went on a hayride and took pictures with pumpkins. A few days later, we did a family trip to Delicious Orchards like we do every year.
What I’m Watching on Netflix
Just finished The 100 and Fuller House. If you want a sci-fi, action show to binge watch, The 100 is my recommendation. Fuller House is too cute and I am so happy they brought this back for another season. Right now I am binge watching American Horror Story and why did no one tell me about this show before??
