A while ago, Bare Minerals sent me complimentary Pro Glow Liquid Foundation and I immediately loved it after first use. However, I am the type of girl to have half a dozen foundations at any time on my vanity, so the Pro Glow kinda got hidden for a bit. It was a nice foundation that did everything I asked it to do and more importantly- it lasted the entire day. I started to go back to my drug store foundation, leaving my Bare Minerals one for “special occasions”. I don’t know if it is because I saw what a really good foundation can do or if overnight all of my other foundations turned to blah, but my face looked awful with my drug store foundations.
One morning, I was rushing (okay, so this is like every morning, but I was realllyy rushing that day!) and I didn’t have time to do a full face of makeup. I usually do a foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, a highlighter… it’s a lot of work to look awake! As I said I was late to work, so I pumped a few drops of the Bare Minerals on my damp beauty blender and just threw on a light coat of foundation to cover my acne, the dark under my eyes, morning redness, the previous days mascara that was now on my cheek and every other flaw on my face! I quickly brushed a bit of blush on my cheeks, did a heavy liner and mascara and was out the door. At lunch, I finally had a minute to look at myself and was really impressed for my five minute minimum getting ready that morning.
I think it is safe to say, I have a new go to foundation. I have gone back to using it daily and I am impressed that the bottle is still almost full. When it comes to foundations, I want my face to look natural like I don’t have a ton of makeup on, but at the same time I have a lot of acne and redness to cover up as well. There is a brush that goes with it, and a part of me wants to splurge and get it. For right now, I use a damp beauty blender and that works just fine.
At night when I start to take off all my makeup, my face still looks like how it was earlier in the day. I recently did a 20 hour day and when I got back home my makeup still looked good! It also comes off very easily, not leaving behind any oils or clogged pores.
When Bare Minerals and Influenster reached out to participate in a campaign with them, they sent me a list of shade names and pictures of samples to choose from. I had no clue what shade I was, and on a whim I chose the Cashmere shade and it blends well with my skin tone. This blog post is not sponsored, I was sent a complimentary bottle of the foundation, however, all opinions are my own. I do get a significant amount of free items to review and my goal is to be honest about each one I try. When I first shared when it came in the mail, I had so many followers reach out to praise it. How am I the only one who didn’t know it existed?? ha!
