I am keeping this gingham theme going in today’s blog post. With the warmer temperatures, I have been excited to wear more color to the office and these pants have quickly become a favorite. My usual go to outfit for work is a pair of pixie pants from Old Navy so I was excited to pick up this new pattern. Now I wear these pink gingham pants at least once a week because they are so comfy and I can wear them with any top. The pants have a stretch material so they are comfortable so they can be worn all day without feeling uncomfortable which is a big must for me. They can easily be worn with my go to flats or with heels depending on how much walking around the office I plan on doing that day ha! ALSO exciting news – these pants just went to clearance so scoop them up on sale while you can!

Aveeno Positively Radiant // Aveeno Daily Moisturizer

I have been busy the last few weeks with work, adulting and trying to enjoy spring weather as much as I can. Which is why when it gets ready for bedtime, I have zero motivation most nights to do a long skincare routine. At night, I like to take a quick shower and exfoliate my skin and acne prone areas on my body with the Aveeno Positively Radiant skin brightening exfoliating face scrub. It is gentle enough on my skin so it doesn’t irritate it but does a great job at removing my makeup and making my skin feel so soft! Aveeno products are made with real natural products so you can trust them on your skin. The Aveeno Positively Radiant contains a moisture rich soy extract that helps make your skin brighter and more radiant!

Once I get out of the shower and dry off I have been trying to be really strict about using lotion on my body before bed. If you do one thing for yourself each day, make the time to lather up in lotion to keep your skin moisturized and looking radiant during short season. It is suggested that you put on lotion right after you shower so you can lock in the moisture. The Aveeno Daily Moisturizer is my favorite no fuss but ultra moisturizing daily moisturizer. I can quickly lather up and not feel sticky which is a huge bonus for me. Right away, my skin feels super soft without the heavy, sticky and greasy feel like other lotions out there.

I am sooo excited for a three day weekend! They don’t come often so I hope to get as much relaxation, fun and time in the sun in as I can. We had an early dismissal at work on Friday so I made plans to meet up with a friend for a late lunch and to do some shopping in Rittenhouse. After not being in the retail world for a while, I kinda forgot how amazing Memorial Day Weekend sales are. Since I was out shopping with a friend, I didn’t get that much time to browse at everything on sale. Now I’m curled up on my couch in my jammies working on my laptop browsing online doing my research to find all the sales. A lot of my favorite recent purchases are included in this sale and I would definitely recommend taking advantage of this sale if there is anything you had your eyes on lately.

Gingham Trends for Summer

Gingham has been everywhere this season so I rounded up some of my favorite things right now while they are on sale. There are so many to choose from including my favorite gingham work pants (I have them in both colors!) or this gingham tote bag that just went on major sale! It’s hard to go wrong with gingham because everything goes with this pattern. Gingham accessories can help dress up an outfit and it’s quickly become my favorite pattern to wear. I wanted to round up a few of my favorites since I own quite a few of these or have these items on my wishlist.

My Spring Favorites at Loft

I’m excited to share this weeks collection of my favorite finds because these are so good for spring! Since I already own most of these items already I can promise that you are going to love them too. They are perfect for wearing to the office and going out with friends for dinner after. Loft runs sales often so when they do I try to stock up on a few classic pieces that I know that I will wear again and again. I wanted to share a few of my favorite new arrivals and some new pieces that went to clearance recently while a sale was still going on.

Here are a few pieces that I think are worth purchasing from Loft this season. The tie waist pants are my most worn pants, the cami that goes with everything and classic skirts. These are pieces that you can wear throughout the spring and summer year after year. I wanted to take some time to write about my favorites pieces from this collection since I own quite a few of them.

First, let’s talk about the pink blazer. When I saw it online, I immediately ordered it because it reminded me so much of Elle Woods ha! It’s perfect to wear to the office on a jeans day or to wear it with white shorts whenever I need an extra layer to stay warm. The possibilities are endless!

The floral cami is on my wishlist and I’ll most likely be buying it this week with my Loft rewards. Last summer, I stocked up on a few of these camis because they go with everything. Each year they come out with new patterns and colors making it impossible not to buy another!

I have a problem with buying skirts because I wear them so often at work. This season did not disappoint at Loft because there are so many cute options! I actually purchased the winter version of the grey flippy skirt last month when it went to clearance that looks very similar to the summer version. Proof that you can wear this skirt all year long! The pink textured pocket square skirt also looks very similar to the textured pocket skirt that I purchased last summer so someone talk me out of buying this years version! It was one of my most worn skirt and I was constantly getting compliments on it. I love a skirt that is dressy enough that I can just wear a simple top and I’m good to go!

I have been trying to find new work pants but just wasn’t loving any of the fits until I tried the tie waist pants. Now I wear these at least once a week and have quickly become my favorite. They are just so darn cute!

Since it is always freezing in my office I’ve been wanting to stock up on some cute cardigans to keep me warm in air conditioning. Loft always has the best selection of cardigans that are perfect to wear during the summer months.

Exciting Life Update: I Got Promoted!

Hi Friends! I’ve been keeping it quiet for a while waiting for everything to be finalized but I am so excited to announce that I recently got promoted at work. I have been blown away by the support of my coworkers, family and friends during the last few weeks. At first, I was hesitant to even apply for the job when it was posted and was super anxious during the interview process. I’ve been walking around all day with a pep in my step because I am just so excited about this new opportunity.

Last April, I took a job in Philly unsure what I wanted to do with my life. With not much time to job search because I had just moved to philly without a job, I accepted a job offer with an outsource company at a big law firm as a receptionist. I have been so grateful for the opportunity to have a foot in the door and be able to learn so much in just one year. A few weeks ago, a job posting went up within the firm I was working to work for a practice group and on a whim I applied doubting myself the entire time. After a few interviews, some waiting and telling myself that I didn’t get it, I got the phone call that I was selected for the position. I think I screamed out loud after I hung up the phone because I was so excited that someone saw me and thought I could do the job.

I just got home after my first day and it went so well! After spending the day in training and orientation, I am excited to actually get to work and start answering the dozens of work emails in my inbox ha! Right now, I am in my pajamas getting some blog stuff done and the sun is still shining because I actually have a normal work schedule so I’m home before it gets dark outside. GUYS I am so so SO excited!
