Christmas Pajamas That Give Me Comfort and Joy!

OUTFIT DETAILS
pajamas

I believe that you can never have too many Christmas pajamas! I’ve always been obsessed with Christmas pajamas and slippers and like to treat myself to a new pair (or two) every Christmas. This year, I’m going to take advantage of staying at home all the time and wear all of my cute pajamas every day. I have a system, day pajamas for during the day when I want to stay festive and cozy and night time pajamas for when I sleep. It’s the only way that I can wear all of my holiday pajamas!

After seeing that pajamas were on sale at Old Navy a few days ago, I got a bunch of different patterns as well as matching pajamas for Jake and I. Even though the holidays will look a little different this year, doesn’t mean we are going to break all of the traditions. I’m so lucky to have a guy in my life who loves our tradition of matching Christmas pajamas as much as I do. We take choosing a print each year very seriously!

holiday flannel pajamas

At this point, I think I can wear a different set of Christmas pajamas and not have to do laundry until after Christmas! They bring me so much joy and I would not be surprised if a few more packages with pajamas in them came to the house between now and December 25th. You can’t beat the prices of Old Navy pajamas so I like to stock up on lots of prints because i can never choose just one! Also want to mention that they are not a heavy flannel making them comfortable to sleep in.

For anyone looking for Christmas presents for friends or family, it would be a cute idea to send them pajama pants, a matching tee, and some slippers! It’s going to be a cold and dark winter and we could all use some fun, cheerful pajamas!

Black Friday Shopping Guide 2020

Hi! There is a lot going on this week like having to cook a turkey yourself or finding a new tradition. Unless you have your head in the sand, there are also a ton of sales this week for Black Friday and it can be a little overwhelming. I wanted to create a helpful guide that lists retailers and their sales this week. I’ll be updating this post all week as sales and deals are changed so keep coming back!

The truth is that we don’t need anything and this year has taught me that I’d rather have a new pair of leggings than something I’d never use in pandemic. This is also why retailers are trying extra hard with sales to get us to shop because if we didn’t buy it while we were quarantining – we probably don’t need it now! Before I even look at sales I make a list of what we need/want and presents I’d like to give people for Christmas. You can go through my gift guide for 2020 HERE. Of course I also find some great items that make their way into my cart anyway 😉

Friday Favorites 11.20

The temperature has dropped and it’s now dark before 5PM but with the holidays around the corner I am full of excitement! I’ve been busy cleaning our house and ordering a few things to get ready for our Christmas transformation after we eat Thanksgiving dinner. Jake and I agreed on waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate but I’ve been slowly taking out my greenery in rooms just hoping he won’t notice! Thanksgiving is going to look different this year for everyone and while I’m sad right now, I am happy that my family will be safe. Doesn’t stop me from getting a new dress to wear on Thanksgiving that I shared on the blog earlier this week. My family and I plan on cooking together on Zoom the day before Thanksgiving and finding ways to feel connected over video during this holiday season. On Instagram stories I shared our grocery delivery from Giordanos and oh my, we are going to need a bigger fridge! People usually complain about other people sharing their plates full of of food on Thanksgiving but I am proudly going to share Even though I’m planning to keep gift giving small, I want to be intentional with what I give. I shared a few gift ideas on this gift guide post which I plan to keep updating as I find new items. My Friday Favorites is made up by scrolling on my camera roll on my phone so let’s see what I’ve been up to this week!

I’ve been watching a few shows this week because there have been so many new shows released lately.
Jake and I like to watch a show together a night and we recently finished watching Terra Nova – a great one season show from a few years ago that Jake was obsessed with. We quickly binged The Umbrella Academy and it was better than I thought it would be!

At night I’ve been watching one episode of The Crown in bed before I read a chapter of my book. I usually watch this series in one day but I’m enjoying it as a treat before bed.

I started The Queens Gambit but realized it’s a show I can’t multitask while I watch so I’ll go back to it after i finish The Crown.

I’m really hoping Bravo changes the time of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City because I could not stay up that late this week to watch it live. Thank goodness for DVR so I could watch it the next morning while i checked emails. The Real Housewives of Potomac is the best when it comes to authentic story lines and genuine friendships. RHOSLC so far has been doing a great job of petty fights and creating drama.

I talked about my thoughts on Savannah Chrisley’s new makeup line, Sassy, on my Instagram Stories this week. The packaging is amazing and the quality is high end even though the prices are affordable. After listening to Savannah talk about her line on their podcast I put in my order because she talked about how much longer it took to launch the line because she wanted great products but affordable for everyone. You can tell she put a lot of heart and good work into this line and the products reflect that.

This week I talked about Dermalogica’s new face mask and the packaging is so smart! No more messy hands and wasting product! I shared my review on the blog here.

With the colder weather, I have been using lotion all over to keep my skin soft! This week I’m using my Revitalift moisturizer and I love waking up to hydrated, plump skin. I’ve noticed my face looks brighter, smoother and the fine lines on my forehead (thanks, sun!) are not as noticeable.

I’ll go weeks not spending a penny and then do a bunch of shopping in one day. Oops!

Shared this sweater on Instagram this week and it is so cozy and comfortable. I’d recommend sizing up – I got a small but I should have gotten a medium.

I’ve been wearing my new holiday pajamas that I bought recently that will be making an appearance on the blog and Instagram this week.

SO excited to wear this new dress on Thanksgiving while Jake and I cook our first turkey dinner by ourselves.

We are staying warm with our new holiday bedding that was so inexpensive I was prepared for poor quality but I was blown away! The sherpa is very soft and now Jake, Ed the cat and I are fighting over it in the morning when it’s too cold to get out of bed.

I’ll share more details soon but ordered a ton of Christmas garland and another tree because I’m convinced that decorating my house for Christmas will make everything better, right?

Jake’s mom sent us a cheeseboard kit from Di Bruno Bros. and OMG it was delicious!

After waiting for months, I finally got my Taylor Swift cardigan and vinyl that Jake bought me for our anniversary in August. It was worth the wait!

Just ran out of toasted graham Starbucks coffee pods. It was an impulse buy because they were one sale and they are delicious!

I’m currently wrapped up in a new blanket from TJ Maxx. It’s from the Berkshire brand which I had never heard of before. If you see them while shopping at TJ Maxx/ Homegoods buy a ton because they would be great gifts. I’ve never had a softer blanket for this low price. It’s also really cute too 😉

This book is on my Christmas wish list 🙂 Anyone obsessed with the royals will love it too.

Blonde Rosie Holiday Gift Guide 2020

Turn on the Christmas movies , we will be going back and forth with the Hallmark Christmas movies and Freeform, and put some cookies in the oven because it’s time to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year! I wanted to put together a gift guide that is a little more realistic with what this year looks like. Jake and I have already decided to keep it small this year and just buy things for each other that we know will bring each other joy. 2020 has taught me a lot and shifted my focus on what I really need. Turns out I have used that throw blanket from Target way more than that expensive handbag. I want my gift giving to reflect that and give presents that will bring joy and people can use right away. Also these gifts are easy to add to cart and ship directly to your friends and family.

Easy Thanksgiving Outfit for 2020

OUTFIT DETAILS
Dress // Doormat

How are we so close to Thanksgiving? I feel like this holiday season is going to just fly by! This year Jake and I will be celebrating the holiday at home with just the two of us… and Ed begging for pieces of turkey. It’s definitely going to be a different holiday this year but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it special just the 2 (3) of us! I recently did a Target online order for some essentials and somehow this really cute dress ended up in my cart 😉 We can’t control a lot in 2020 but I am going to look cute in a new dress!

The greatest part of this dress is how loose fitting it is so I can eat lots of stuffing and no waistband to stop me! Oh, and did I mention, it has pockets! The sleeves are so fun and helps dress it up a bit. This dress is a great way to be casual and cute for Thanksgiving no matter what your plans are this year!

Hopefully this look gives you some inspiration for your Thanksgiving day outfit. This year is different for everyone and I hope you are able to make it special in your own way. ♥

New Bedding for the Holidays

BEDROOM DETAILS
comforter set // wreath // mini trees // pajama set

I’ve been wanting to get new holiday bedding for a while now. I have a few sets of holiday themed sheets and duvet covers but they fit my old bed which is in our guest room and our master bedroom has a bigger bed. It’s been on my to do list since last Christmas when I tried to get my old sheets onto our new bed with no luck. I wanted something nice and neutral that we could use for many years so I waited until I found a set that I loved and was budget friendly.

I blame the section of the page when you are online shopping that says “Items You May Also Be Interested In” because that’s where I found this amazing comforter set. I was planning to only get garland and had to add the comforter in too because the price was so good. I loved the traditional Christmas pattern on one side and the super soft sherpa on the other. We have been using it for a week now and we are loving it! It’s light enough so it’s not too hot with the sherpa but still warm. I think Ed the cat is the only one who loves it more than me, because he has been laying in bed all day and we can’t pull him away from it!

Even though we will only use this bedding for a few months out of the year, I wanted to get something that was nice and we could really enjoy during the winter months. Not only is it really cute but it is so soft and cozy! I highly suggest you get this comforter to add some Christmas cheer to your bedroom!
